Yes hello, after my world cup preview, the tournament began last friday. Went round to a friends house for a BBQ and encountered some drunk mid 30 year old women on the bus home, they offered me some ‘ fun ‘, not an experience I care to remember haha.  On the saturday went round to Michael’s house to first  practise putting yup the tent for glasto and then watch England’s first game. The ten looked great when it was pitched up, glad we got that sorted, now I just need to go through all the other things I need. Pretty much got everything covered though. So after some delightful fish n chips from top of the hill, we watched the game, great start, rubbish keeping followed, 1 -1 draw.

So this week I pretty much finished all my college work, making me practically finished for the year :D

Oh yes also last sunday, played football for the first time in ages, we played with a new ball, a replica jabulani world cup ball, as a goalkeeper, I hated it. But luckily hardly anyone had any decent shots against me, fairly happy with my performance, also came outfield and scored, which I very rarely do.

I’ve been watching as many world cup matches as I can this past week, most teams have been scared to play all out attack as their scared to lose, which is a shame, but I’m the tournament will come to life in the knockout stages, the world cup always does. So now that I’ve finished for the year, what to do ? well I shall be going some uni open days, with my father and I SHALL GET A JOB.

So yesterday was England’s 2nd world cup group match, most people in the country probably went to the pub or sat at home, but most people were watching. What everyone saw was complete rubbish, It was one of the worst games of football I have ever seen. England were complete shit, god knows how their gonna play against slovenia on wednesday, shall be very interesting  and exciting watching the match on the big screen at glasto.

So over the next few days I shall pack & pack & wednesday  is my trip to somerset.Probably won’t do another post for a while so in case I don’t see ya

Good afternoon, good evening and goodnight !!

Yes as I have mentioned before in previous blogs, 2010 is yet again another world cup year. The FIFA world cup is probably my favourite sporting event. It produces so much magic and so much despair. And above all the drama. So I’m gonna go through my favourite World Cup moments and memories.

1970

In 1970 the brazilians were just about the greatest team to ever grace the game, basically every single player was world class and fantastic, the crowning moment was in the final against italy, brazil are already three goals to one up, then the brilliance showed, Tostão started the move 5 yards from the left of the Brazilian 18 yard box, then ran the length of the field to the Italian box without touching the ball again to tell Pelé to lay it off for Alberto. The players involved in the passes in order were tostao, brito, clodoaldo, pele, gerson, defender Clodoaldo beat 4 Italian players in his own half before passing to Rivelino who hit a perfect pass down the wing to Jairzinho. He crossed from the wing to the centre of the box to Pele who held the ball up to play a pass for Carlos Alberto to smash it home.

1982

My favourite moment in this world cup was when Marco Tardelli (left) scored in the final to put italy 2 – 1 up against the germans, this iconic image is probably the most famous goal celebration ever, it shows the glory of winning the world cup, hopefully I experience this feeling, but no I was born an englishman.

1986

I have two favourite memorable moments from 86

This one on the left is memorable for the wrong reasons, I’m sure most of you know the incident. But yes as you can quite clearly see Diego Maradona Handles the ball, btw I’ve met Peter Shilton (the goalkeeper)

My second favourite moment involves the famous german goalkeeper, Harald Schumacher,Schumacher was involved in a collision with a French defender, substitute Patrick Battiston , in the semi-final of the 1982 World Cup. Both Battiston and Schumacher were chasing down a long-ball pass, sprinting at each other and the ball from opposite directions. Battiston arrived just before Schumacher, firing off a shot to the left of Schumacher. Just before the resulting collision, Schumacher jumped and put his hands in the air and to his left, as if trying to stop the ball, even though the ball already had passed him. He also seemed to oddly twist and contort his legs off to the side of him while mid-flight, resulting in his buttocks actually making the first impact with Battiston. This shows one thing, YOU DON’T MESS WITH GOALKEEPERS.

1990

In 1990 the country really believed england were gonna win, however we lost to the germans in the semis because Stuart Pearce and Chris Waddle can’t score a penalty, we lost in a pen shootout.

1998

This is probably the 1st world cup I remember, all I remember is hearing my mum and dad going crazy when Michael Owen Scored that amazing goal against argentina, also remember some words that cannot be repeated when David Beckham got sent off

Of course the hosts won the tournament in the end, with zidane scoring twice against a shellshocked brazil.

2002

Now this is the 1st world cup I properly watched, I remember my mother going crazy when beckham scored v Argentina, but the real memory for me was getting up at 7:30 in the morning to watch england play brazil, at 1-1 Ronaldinho scored this crazy free kick from 40 yards out beating a hapless david seaman just as I finished my cornflakes, I remember nearly crying before school.

2006

We all remember when rooney got sent off, a horrible day when we lost to the Portuguese that day, I cannot repeat what my dad and I said when ronaldo conned the ref and winked, we lost on penalties and as I said a horrible day.

I also remember watching the semi final between italy and germany, it really was an amazing moment when Grosso scored, evoking memories of marco tardelli 14 years earlier

I did watch the final, I remember distinctly we all watched it after the wimbledon final, it was a terrific match, then of course the famous Zidane head butt happened, a disgraceful way to bow out of football, but definitely a memorable one

2010

can we see a scene like this again ?

We’ll just have to wait and see

So hello everyone, glasto ticket finally came at last, only 22 days now !!!!.

Anyway friday me and some others went the gym, yes very manly I know. Haven’t been in ages and it proved that way.My back was killing afterwards, but should be ok for the return of football in a couple of weeks, while on the subject of football, really getting psyched for the World Cup now, been watching all the archive videos on the bbc website.Really getting geared up now, fabio announced his squad yesterday, leaving out walcott, which I think is a good decision. This might be our year, but we’ve been saying that for bloody ages, so we’ll just have to see.I think the Dutch are the dark horses, I don’t think spain will like their favourites tag one bit, it will put too much pressure on them.So BRING ON USA 12TH JUNE HERE WE GO.

So saturday went to the mitchell household to watch the beautiful event that is Eurovision, crazy crazy event, but the germans winning with some silly lyrics was crazy, ahh well. Its just funny to watch all the songs, particularly the spanish entry, the dude was I think singing about his small penis.

Monday was truly a day to remember, set off at 10 walked to the station, got the train, avoided a certain someone as the train passed through goostrey. Anyway finally got there at club academy.I’m not going to do a huge review of every single band I saw, I think James has already covered that.So I’ll just be brief, Beach House really, really impressive, LC! very memorable, I felt great singing along with everyone else.Blood Red Shoes, really crazy, but in a good way, I was sweating like I have never sweated before. So we ‘ missed ‘ the last train, trekked all the way around manchester in the early hours, as james has said in his blog, avoided a lot of drunks and some scary skinheads with leather gloves looking like they were ready to kill someone. We sought refuge in the station, I tried to get some sleep, but it was impossible, so finally the train came at 5, slept the whole way, walked back and crashed, literally crashed in my bed,( making my mam a cup of tea before 1st though).

Then, this is the best part, I slept from 6:30 am to 6:pm, so effectively I wasted a whole day of my life, wasn’t impressed with my self, their was a time where I didn’t need much sleep at all, how times have changed.Went out with some friends last night, after trekking all over the place, Me and junior tried to call on someones house but couldn’t find it.So we went to Naomi’s house and watched Up, this was the 1st time I had seen UP.Really wonderful film, bit weird  at times but lovely.Pixar, true geniuses.Anyways got an big essay to do this half term which will be fun. Also BGT and corrie, Coronation Street is really getting excited this week, finally coming back to the dramatic time of the Richard Hillman years :)

Anways catcha laterz Folks

Hello thur!

Yes Summer is here, it finally hit Friday, this scorching yet wonderful weather.

Went out and got some new treds on Friday, btw for those who don’t know what treds are, its new shoes/trainers :)

Anyways in the evening I had my first BBQ of the year, sitting in my back garden I could of closed my eyes and I would of felt like being in tenerife.

All this nice weather has put in the greatest of moods, right saturday got up and had a shower.

Right here’s a tip, never let your mother or father collect your post.So I get dressed and mum tells me ” love you dot thingy ticket has arrived “, thank god, it had ben a long time waiting for that.So I get it, its this little piece of white paper from seetickets, something wasn’t right, so mum ” that was all that was in the envelope “. Yep you guessed it I had to go rooting in the bin to find the thrown away envelope with my dot to dot ticket inside. To be honest the whole thing was worth it just to see my mums reaction, I have never seen her so apologetic.

Right next thing I did was set off to town with the one and only James Walker, before you ask, yes we decided it was a good idea to walk in the scorching heat.So we mooched about for a bit and then went up Nantwich road so I could take my pictures for my college assignment and Jim got his guitar string.

Went back to Jim’s house and played the best wii game I have ever played, it was this game where you could be any classic nintendo character and just fight other characters, it was awesome, pikachu kicked ass and so did this pink blob called curby.

In the evening Jack and Michael came round and we watched the champions league final, well played inter milan and jose Mourinho, possible future united manager ?

Sunday did pretty much bugger all except stick a load of my toggers work in my sketchbook. This weather has made me listen to the beach boys none stop, all I’ve been getting for the past few days is good vibrations haha.

Today managed to get all my key skills work pretty much done, thank god :)

So until next time Laterz Folks

PS My Glastonbury ticket should be coming anytime this week :D , also to end on, this hilarious video, enjoy

Hi

Right struggling to remember where we last were ahh yes,the day before I went Liverpool. So I decided to go to the pool mainly because I just wanted to.Turned out to be an awesome day,go off at lime street when into the town before heading down to the dock.I didn’t know where on earth I was going I was just following signs,I quickly ended up at the Beatles Museum/shop.In there was literally everything Beatles, couldn’t believe how many foreigners there were, how can 4 guys from liverpool were so famous, all these germans, french etc were there having a great time,I bought a t shirt and a Lennon CD,after this wandered around the dock for a bit before making my way back into the city,I ended up getting lost, but my theory is if your lost once you will never be lost again,in other words the next time I go liverpool,I will know my around.I made sure I took pics of the liver bird and radio city. The best part of the whole trip was going to the cavern club, the place where the Beatles started.Anyway a good day.

Can’t remember what I did that weekend.

So then it was review week, good fun week, very hectic trying to complete all my work, but all got done in the end.On the friday went to see my sister in coventry, thats where she goes uni. Also went to see me grandad in thame.

So also at the weekend went to see my first footy match in ages, macc v bury at the moss rose,I went with my main homeboys. Before the match gave a nice tribute to keith before the game with loads of doves being released, something Ive never seen before.Anyway the game itself was a 2-0 win for macc, scrappy goals but deserved win.Back in sandbach was a night of confusion and fun.Me greg jim in trying to scare the others, turns out they were trying to scare us to,twas all fun.

Last Point,I’m going to my second festival of the year, dot to dot in Manchester in May.Looking forward to that, until nextime goodbye :) xxYou can see me,just look above the crossbar

Hello once again.

So went back to college today after a half term break, key skills first ….pah.I did a silly thing this morning when I put on my twitter how much I hate key skills,of course at the time I forgot twitter can be accessed on the college computers, lucky my teacher didn’t see.So lunch time played a spot of pool in the pub on nantwich road, see thats what you can do with college, just mosey over to the pub for a spot of pool.Photography was a nice way to end the day,I now have a new teacher,he has one of most ‘ scouse ‘  scouse accents I have ever heard. So got the bus but instead of goig homeI decided to give a mate of mine a usb stick I promised I would get for him,we had a deep nostalgic moment,The great thing about the past,is that when looking basck you can find justification for things that have happened, without realising it at the time .

So the weekend, lets see what did I get up too.Ahh yes Saturday evening,a lovely evening at the box in crewe,it was the first time I have been there.Although all the bands except one weren’t particularly good,it was all fun,one of the bands did a cover of The Killers ‘ Mr Brightside ‘ ,I like that song a lot,its just one of those songs that everyone knows the words too.

On Sunday I didn’t really do much, woke up to the sight of snow!!! how…….unexciting is that, seriously my normal reaction to seeing snow would be a deal of excitement, but this year I have just gotten used to it ,due to there being lots of it.My mum says its like the winters when she was my age.

To end on,it has suddenly hit me,that I’m seeing Stevie Wonder !!!!!! at Glasto,my excitement has just rose a great deal. This guy just makes me want to be a musician,to have all that talent for a blind man is incredible. How he can memorise the notes on a piano/keyboard is amazing,he is also a master at my favourite instrument the harmonica, its my fave because it gives out just a lovely smooth sound.

Anyway heres me sigining out till next time

Hello again everyone,so after mondays awesome football event, mud bath galore.I spent most of tuesday completely shattered and just bummed round the house all day,the evening was off course brit awards woo.Yes these awards are very crap they don’t mean anything at all.The evening brought great entertainment to see some morons going completely ape shit about the fact some people don’t like a certain pop singer, anyway enough of that. They have to know that they need to gain some perspective.

Anyway moving on to wednesday and lets see what did I do,oh yes got up at 12 cos I’m a lazy fool.Want to know why its cos I stay up until the ungodly hours surfing the internet……I was gonna go out in the evening but quite frankly couldn’t be arsed.

Thursday was spent doing the same.Oh yeah my nan and grandad came over and were amazed by the world of facebook lol
So friday I went to the trafford centre and I have come the conclusion that the trafford centre is complete crap for shopping variety .Any items I wanted to get were either too expensive or just sold out, this wasn’t helped by the fact that that my mother and sister were just trolling round pointless shops with ridiculous prices for handbags. However me and dad saw the greatest shop in existence, the legends memorabilia shop,I could spend hours in there, famous images of tv music sport and films and culture, fanstastic.Anyway got back and saw some dear friends.

Looking forward to a lovely evening ahead should be fun so cya soon

Hello everyone once again

So Thursday was last day at college before half term,a good day it was,so friday involved me going into sandbach as always, friday night though, was a right laugh and a half, basically we all went to steves and had a good old alcohol infused fun.I one too many, but the night was fun, another one of my friends on the other hand, got sloshed and was hilarious,he said some funny things. Saturday involved me doing naff all in the day apart from listen to football.Saturday night though, well it had many things, nostalgia, walking into ropes on the school field, all was fun,had a good chat as always with a good mate of mine on the way to and back from sandbach, the night ended on a twist.

Sunday of course was valentines day,or if your single it means listen and hear everyone else’s love life, both viva and 4music had love song countdowns all day, pah. My mother and father were after 21 years of marriage got fully into the valentines day spirit, ugh.Still got a copy of abbey road,so I was happy I guess.

Monday or today, was football day, basically everyone turned up,blue touch paper was lit,the game was set to be a classic, the score finished 10-8,despite losing I did some good saves and managed  to do something I rarely do and thats score.Yes I controlled the ball down and then right foot shot into the bottom corner. Some players were in fine form, greg played very well.I would say its the best game we have ever played,in terms of fun,I think everyone managed to slip or fall over in the mud, including a shot from kinge which the power on it made me slip over, lolage.

Anyways hoped you enjoyed reading on my past 3 days of life

goodbye from Tom xx

Still the same…….

Hey everyone nice to see you to see you,oh wait I’m not Bruce forsyth.

Hello

Well college on thursday was fun, managed to complete digital media work, its an awesome animated piece with my choice of song in the background,’ Baker Street ‘ by gerry rafferty, who doesn’t know that awesome saxophone. So Friday was a particuraly awesome day, went into Sandbach as always and saw the usual crowd.Went back home lazed about did nothing really, just listened to bare loads of music. In the evening I went out,me and greg decided to get jim out, little did we know he would introduce the infamous chat roulette, whats chat roulette you ask ? you may not want to know,go discover for yourself, all I will say is,on there you will find more genitals than you would in an average month,we turned it off and backed away as soon as we saw an unpleasant opening.

So Saturday I went out with my mum and dad to one of my favourite places in the country, only because I have been there like a zillion times,we went to hanley stoke on trent,me and dad went of to the town centre for a little picture with the fa cup, ain’t that lovely, also met peter shilton, englands most capped footballer, also the goalkepper when maradona handled the ball in the goal in 1986,thats enough football trivia.

I then went for mooch about all the shops,a big bummer was that the independent record/dvd shop opposite HMV was being taken away ,ahh well went into HMV anyway, bought a very nice four disk dvd of live aid 1985,a historic event.

In the evening went for a little gathering at a friends house in elworth, chat roulette was then well and truly destroyed, thanks to some people, idiots. Also some people never change and are  still the same, what are they hoping to achieve, all they want is attention, they need to learn to get real.

Sunday was spent doing photography work all day, managed to complete it in the end.I then mellowed out for the evening and relaxed.

Anyway its half term soon hopefully will come back with another post then

Cyaz later Tom xx

It was 20 years ago today, sergeant pepper told the band…….

Hello once again,It came to my attention recently this week that these blogs are getting more controversial than ever, funny haha.Anyway lets proceed,my Dad randomly came up to me yesterday and said he you are heres Sgt. peppers lonely hearts club band, ahhh the wonders of asda,he got it for 2 quid,it means I can say to my kids in the future I have arguably the greatest album ever recorded.

Right whats new,Oh yeh John terry being caught at it,to be honest who really cares,he is only human just like you or me,if he wants to have an affair with a girlfriend of an ex team mate  lets  leave him too it hahaha.Wednesday today, awesome day, laughed a lot, mainly due to the fact that a guy in my class sean dyer completely owned one of the members of the shit group called N dubz,he owned them and his little outburst managed to make the sun newspaper, hilarious.

The best news is though I found out this week is that this Saturday I am going to see the Fa cup and meet David James, one of the most experienced players still playing today, how awesome is that !!!!

Right now to voice my opinion about music,as you might know, recently I received a mac for my birthday, garage band came with it,the recording software. This year I would like to accomplish something I should of done years ago and that is to learn a musical instrument,Garage band comes with free Downloadable Piano lessons, guitar lessons also but thats too difficult,I think I shall but a decent key board and not stick with my crappy kids one lol.More on this update new years eve this year……..

Something the country all have to look forward to later this year is Yes the general election,in my opinion I don’t brown will stay an extra term, but that doesn’t mean someone else will do a better job,my family are predominantly right wing. But in my opinion the country is quite fucked up as it is at the moment anyway so its a tough job for anyone who comes in.

Next the Winter Olympics ,these game are hilarious and can have a great meaning behind them, anyone who has seen the film ‘ Cool runnings ‘ will understand,I really enjoy watching these games because there is loads of sports that bar a few have no meaning or great skill behind them,I mean what on earth possessed the creator of curling top think of such an idea,” I know, why don’t we slide a stone down some ice into a circle with brushes so the competitors  look like idiots ” seriously come on,anyway its all entertaining to watch.

More Glastonbury headliners got announced this week,Muse (eughh) and the musical Legend that is Stevie wonder,I won’t be seeing muse at the festival and I don’t think I will be on my own, deffo seeing Stevie though, for someone whos blind to have that musical ability is awesome.

Anyway thats all for now, goodbye all

Tom (I shall still voice my opinion on here) xx
